On Saturday, March 9th, Habitat for Humanity gathered with the Wube and Ly-Cha families and hundreds of volunteers, donors, and home sponsors to celebrate the completion of the first two of five homes at our South Sacramento Avenues development!

Elsabeth Wube is a single mother working three jobs and caring for her elderly mother and two children. Elsabeth put in all 500 hours of sweat equity to help build her family's home and kept it a surprise from the children until dedication day!
The Ly-Cha family of 7 formerly lived in a severely overcrowded 2-bedroom apartment. Vincent Ly works full time while his wife Ktua Cha cares for their 5 young children. They are excited to have space for their children to grow and a yard where they can play!
California Capital Chapter’s Sacramento Regional Design and Build Event raised funds to support Habitat for Humanity’s South Sacramento Avenues project. This is a 5-home development (their second-largest in 32 years) where we’ll be building homes 1 and 2 side by side. These two homes will be dedicated on March 9, 2019, to the Wube and Ly-Cha families.
